Course Search
This page allows you to search for Biology courses that meet particular criteria.
Note that a course listing on this page is not a guarantee that a course will be taught during the semester listed.
A description of each course, including prerequisites, may be found by
clicking on the course number. The symbol gives access to course web pages when available. You may also find the Advise-O-Matic helpful in
planning your schedule. A
complete list including course
descriptions is also available.

100-level courses are designed for non-majors and may not be
used for credit towards the Biology major.
Bio 211 and 212 are prerequisites for all
upper-level courses. These two courses may be
taken in either order.
All 300-level courses and above are considered
"upper-level".
*Key to Satisfies column:
- CW - satisfies one of the college's Certified Writing
requirements
- Lab - satisfies one of the Biology major's laboratory
requirements. †BIO 490 counts as one laboratory course if taken twice.
- Cell - counts as a molecular/cellular course for the
Biology major's area of study requirement
- Org - counts as an organismal course
- Pop - counts as a population/ecology/evolution course
Note - Courses listing
two areas of study can count as one or the other, not both.
