Computer Lab

The Biology Computer Lab is equipped with iMacs bootable in OS X 10.6 or Windows XP. Windows XP can also be run under OS X using VMware Fusion. Available software includes the iLife suite, Microsoft Office, JMP statistical software, and various specialized programs used in Biology courses.

Use of the lab computers requires a Biology student account. All Biology majors and minors receive an account automatically. Other students are provided an account during any semester they take a Biology course. The password for intial access can be obtained from the department office. More on accounts and passwords...

The Biology Department provides limited free printing for student accounts. Additional printing is at lower cost than standard campus rates. More on printing...

Current Announcements

• Some users have been having trouble printing from Office programs when they first open their account. Try printing a page from another, non-Office program first. That should allow you to print from Office in the future.
