Teaching Assistants

A select group of undergraduates (usually seniors) have the opportunity to become undergraduate teaching assistants in general biology or upper division laboratories. TA's work closely with faculty supervisors in planning and executing laboratory sessions. They also are paid a stipend and receive training in laboratory instruction in BIO 490. An application and selection process occurs each spring.

Research Assistant or Technical Positions

Small numbers of part-time and/or temporary research assistant and technician jobs are occasionally available in the Department. Students should work through both the Biology Department and the Student Employment Office to determine availability and suitability of such jobs.
